The Theatre District occupies an urban block within Central Milton Keynes, lying immediately to the west of Milton Keynes Theatre and close to Midsummer Place and the main Milton Keynes shopping centre.  The existing Phase 1 development which was completed in 1999, established a complex of bars and restaurants around a central courtyard.  The Phase 2 development in–fills one of the two sites adjacent to Lower Twelfh Street, with a mixed use urban scheme that adds a  new vibrant dimension to this quarter of Central Milton Keynes.  This inclused two quality restaurants catering primarily for Theatre audiences with capacity for external ´al fresco´ seating on the ground floor.  The five floors above the restaurants are residential accommodation comprising 46 one, two and three bedroom apartments.
