The City Wharf Apartment building contains 30 luxury apartments ranging in size from 45m2 to 140m2. The development has been tightly planned on a site between a busy flyover, a listed building, and the north end of Atlantic Wharf. We assembled the site and initialised the development, which was constructed by The David McLean group, with Holder Mathias Architects as the design–build architects. Brick and terracotta blocks have been chosen to sympathise with the listed building, and are used on the elevations most prone to traffic noise. These relatively heavyweight elevations are punctuated by a fully glazed tower of bay windows taking advantage of views to the North and East.
