Focusing on the commercial aims of the developer, retailers and public, Holder Mathias Architects completely revised an earlier planning permission and after detailed negotiations with the planners, obtained consent for 18 individual but flexible units grouped around a central parking court. The brick–faced units, which all have pitched roofs, are linked by a steel and glass canopy which provides visual impact while emphasising individual entrances.
