Guardian Properties commissioned Holder Mathias Architects and The Colman Partnership to work on a major remodelling of the Capitol Centre which has transformed the Victorian style 80s–built centre into a steel and glass flagship complex. The £15million project provides 70,000 sq.ft of additional retail space. Enhancements included the removal of the food court and the redevelopment of the former Maples and Habitat units to create seven retail stores and two restaurant units.
