Phase one of what is probably the largest residential development in central London was completed in Autumn 1989. 359 apartments were constructed in this two phase, multi–storey development built on the edge of the River Thames either side of the existing Grade II listed building.
The original Free Trade Wharf, constructed in 1793, has been refurbished to provide recreational facilities and amenities to serve the entire development. Phase two, now known as Atlantic Wharf, has been designed to an updated brief and will provide nearly 300 apartments in a series of 4 and 8 storey blocks grouped around courtyards opening on to the river’s edge.
