This design was a new concept for Asda, recreating a market hall atmosphere in the main sales area. Curved steel beams provide an exciting roof profile while, for the first time, daylight is introduced into the sales area using continuous roof lights between the curved roof beams. The new store is 92,000 sqft and has 625 car spaces together with an adjacent petrol filling station.
