‘Good design has people at its heart, which is why we seek to interact with the communities where we work in a positive and mutually beneficial way’

Colleagues at every level are encouraged in their support of local organisations and schools, with many of us sitting on various boards and governing bodies.

Business in the Community (BITC)
As active members of the BITC, the practice is dedicated to developing a corporate social responsibility programme that addresses issues of social exclusion, community regeneration and equality of opportunity. We work with BITC and they contribute to our strategy and activity programmes.

Royal Society of Architects in Wales (RSAW)
Actively support the RSAW activities sharing their mandate to promote the benefits of architecture to ensure that good design remains on the agenda for everyone on every day.

We also have Design Circle committee members within the practice.  Being the Southern Branch of the RSAW the organisation is run for and by architects to provide a professional and social platform for its members, as well as those of the wider construction design professions.

Wales Millennium Centre (WMC)
The practice is committed to supporting the arts. We are Guild members and corporate sponsors of the WMC and continue to support the community and inclusivity work of the WMC through annual membership.

Commitment to the development of young professionals
Many of our practice staff support the Mentoring scheme set out by both the RSAW and Welsh School of Architecture (WSA) and provide one–to-one provision appropriate to the need of their mentee, helping them in achieving specific goals.

Each year, we also offer work experience placements for 20 secondary school pupils at our London and Cardiff studios, giving those young people a real taste of life in a business architectural practice. This is not about young people making tea or photocopying during a week off school. During their time with us, our work experience students have an opportunity to learn about CAD design, architectural modelling and project management, and they leave with a portfolio of CAD design and modelling work to present at school or for GCSE/A Level course work.
