At the HSBC Rail Business Awards, Hull´s Paragon Station has been selected for the NCP Station Excellence of the Year award. To quote the operator, FTPE:
"The First TransPennine Express vision of ´delivering great service every day,´ means it was a keen partner in the £18m redevelopment of Hull Paragon Transport Interchange. Successfully working in partnership with Hull City Council, Citybuild, Yorkshire Forward, Network Rail, East Yorkshire Motor Services and Stagecoach , Paragon Railway Station has been transformed into a pioneering integrated transport interchange, with trains, buses and coaches together under one roof. "
The conceptual design for the station was by Wilkinson Eyre, and Holder Mathias was then commissioned to develop the design and to implement the project on site, as part of the redevelopment of the St Stephen´s shopping centre project.
