Holder Mathias will work with the developer Simons Developments. It follows the recent design for the Neath town centre regeneration project, which is due to start in 2009.

The Bargoed scheme is to be on a man–made plateau and will be split into tow key buildings. The north facing retail block will address Bargoed High Street and the second block will be at the south end of the development.

The two buildings will be connected by a two level car-park, public walkway and canopies. Once complete, the four-storey development will offer residents and visitors to Bargoed, a Sainsbury´s supermarket, a five-screen Apollo Cinema, 48 flats, about 500 parking spaces and a misture of shops, cafe and restaurants.
