Lucknam Park Hotel is a fine listed building set in parkland and is therefore a site of great sensitivity. Lucknam Park were seeking a world class spa to maintain the hotel´s reputation for being one of the UK´s most highly regarded country house hotels. The Holder Mathias design concept respects the special nature of the house and grounds through an unashamedly contemporary approach without resorting to pastiche. The spa building is hidden below two new walled gardens, invisible from the hotel, without detracting from its character or setting. The new facilities were handed over in November 2008 to high acclaim.
