An open, dynamic and collaborative approach, underpinned by real commitment and enthusiasm, helps to build successful teams. We involve the whole design team and client in project workshops using modelling and working wall techniques where the breadth of the challenge and the nature of possible solutions can be quickly understood and opportunities identified. We always take a wide view at the outset, testing a range of strategic options to ensure that an appropriate direction is pursued.
The practice is owned and led by a team of eight directors each of whom build high quality, long term relationships with clients – every project is the responsibility of an individual director. There is a shared vision of security, quality and opportunity throughout the practice underpinned by commitment to a training and development programme which has resulted in consecutive Investors in People Awards in 2003, 2006 and 2009 and saw the practice listed as one of the Top 50 Employers in the UK Construction industry by Building Magazine in 2007.
Holder Mathias Architects is an RIBA Chartered Practice and operates a Quality Management System regulated under ISO 9000:2001 and ISO 14001:2004 and has been the Architects Jounal AJ 100 Regional Award Winner for 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
